Liars and Believers is a devised theatre ensemble. We create original live plays with music, movement, mask, puppet, video, clown, live bands, aerialists. . . pretty much anything we can get our hands on. We tell stories that explore what it means to be human in this world we share. Most importantly, together with audiences and artists we build community.

We’re Hiring
We’re holding auditions for our next show! Wanna play?
Liars and Believers is seeking 1-2 actors and a musician/composer for our new comedy about the end of the world. The actors will help devise the new show and then tour it with us over the next 24 months. We are seeking actors of any gender, race, ability or ethnicity. Under represented performers are strongly encouraged to apply.
This new show will grapple with the coming apocalypse (in its many variations), and find hopeful solace through comedy.
We’re excited to announce a theater workshop geared towards neurodivergent young adults ages 16-30!!
We will offer students the tools that they need to begin to craft their own theatrical stories. Tailored to work with a variety of neuro-divergent learning styles, our Liars&Believers workshop will provide students with an opportunity to create fantastical tales through fun and engaging theater exercises.

We’re committed to making art that’s accessible to everyone, and we’re proud to have UP Designation from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. We are proud to participate in the Card to Culture program, a collaboration between Mass Cultural Council and the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector, by breaking down the financial barriers to cultural programming. When we run our own box office, all our tickets are pay-what-you-can. We welcome all audiences.
