Letters from Prague
Letters from Prague
ABOUT THE SHOW
In 1939 Prague, a Jewish couple and their three young children sought to escape the Nazi occupation. They offered to trade a Nazi officer their apartment in exchange for five exit visas. On the day of the exchange, the Nazi arrived with only three visas. In 1988 Chicago, the descendants found a box of letters. Written between those who escaped and those who were left behind, the letters intimately relate the story in a first-person, contemporaneous narrative.
